OFFICIAL BIO /

This is Albert

Real moments, real photography that (admittedly) sometimes looks unreal! But that's him! And he's been doing this for well over 10 years. Behind every photo is passion, dedication, creativity, purpose, planning and sometimes a little bit of luck. Seeing Dros work you can be assured you're looking at a real moment. Even though it's sometimes hard to believe: Albert never generates anything with AI.

Over the years Dros made reputation for himself with photos that sometimes look 'out of this world'. His extreme passion, curiosity and drive for original compositions is what constantly surprises his audience. Some call him 'A New Dutch Master' referring to the old Dutch Master painters.

Dros strives to push the innovative boundaries of photography and has proven to be a relevant personality for many years in the landscape photography community. He recently won 2nd prize in the Landscape Photographer of the Year competition (2025) and 1st prize in the low lands photographer of the year (2025) with his portfolio 'Mushrooms in their Natural World'. A series that he shot not far from his home in Amersfoort, the Netherlands.

While Alberts portfolio spans wide across the globe: Greenland, Antarctica, Patagonia, China and many other places, he is most proud of his work from his homeland the Netherlands from which he also published a best selling coffee table book 'the Beauty of the Netherlands'. That, and his work from Kyrgyzstan, the homeland of his wife Bermet, that he has personally promoted through spectacular photo series and world famous exhibitions that were even visited by the prime minister himself.

Albert Dros is a Sony Global Ambassador of Imaging. You'll often see him and his photos on billboards around the world. His photographs have appeared in major media outlets worldwide, including National Geographic, time and Adobe.

Albert brings an unabashed enthusiasm for capturing the beauty of our planet, paired with a deep curiosity about how light, weather, and timing shape a scene.
